Gentle snowflakes drifted down from a gray sky, half-hiding the sun's warm days. While the temperature was low, Chi wasn't cold at all. The dancing flakes distracted her from this. Seating herself upon a ledge next to the waterfall, she swung her legs back and forth. It hadn't been cold enough for the waterfall to freeze yet, so she was met with the sound of rushing water. A sigh escaped her lips in a quick rush of warmth, mixing with the cold and creating a bit of a fog, carried away by the gentle breeze. A smile rested pleasantly on her chilled lips as she looked about with large, questioning golden eyes. "It is so beautiful and serene here. What could bring those humans to possibly want to destroy this place?" She wondered aloud, to no one in particular. Chi wasn't really used to being alone. She was usually following a certain someone... Making sure that he was on his toes.
Again, that smile curled the edge of her lips, and she cast another glance about. Reaching out a slender hand, she let snowflakes fall into her palm. The went as soon as they came, seemingly disappearing into her skin. Shaking her head lightly, she began to hum.

"Ah, Chi. Pleasure seeing you here." Inarizushi smiled and walked closer to her, snow clinging to the top of his head and the tops of his strong shoulders. He had just come from training his men and had left his top somewhere behind; exposing many scars across his chest.
Clever purple orbs glanced at the water, a hint of melancholy sparkled in the reflection, "It is beautiful. You know, I bet Jun would have loved it here." Inarizushi turned away, his eyes burning with anger, "But that's why we are going to kill them all, Chi. The humans; they are nothing but nesciences." He crouched down beside her and stared at nothing in particular.

Chi jumped slightly, not expecting anyone to show up here. Turning her head quickly, she found herself staring up at Inari. Blinking her eyes once or twice, she smiled slightly. "Oh, Hello there, Inari-Sama." She said, bowing her head to him in respect. Allowing her golden orbs to trail to the water for a moment. Taking in a breath, she stared at her distorted reflection.
Even Chi's eyes narrowed a bit with pain. She had known Jun and loved her well, and that Inari had mentioned her now brought a bit of pain to her heart. "I know she would have loved it here." She said, quietly, listening to his next words. Her heart skipped a bit and she picked her head up fast, turning those large, questioning eyes upon the male. Her eyes narrowed for a moment, "Now that is not fair! Not all humans are bad Inarizushi!" She exclaimed, only to realize moments later just what had occurred. Chi bowed her head in respect. "I apologize, Inari-sama! I was out of place."

He sighed, thinking of Jun and hardly noticing Chihiro's misstep, "You are quite foolish to think such things about humans," Inari sat completely down, crossing his legs, "who led you to believe such absurd thoughts Chihiro?" He knew exactly who, but couldn't bare to think of Jun any longer.
"Chihiro," Inari began, a softer tone to his voice, hoping that she too, would neglect the big, pink elephant, "you look lovely today." He looked at her, his brilliant eyes peering into her very being. Snowflakes gathered on his lashes until he had no choice but to blink them away, still staring through lids, at Chihiro's soul.

Chihiro couldn't bare to speak of such things with him. It was hard to say anything of it, still. She wanted so badly to argue with him over the subject, but couldn't. It wasn't her place. Shifting, she curled her legs under herself upon the snow. A sigh passed over her lips once more, again appearing, but being swept away by the gentle breeze.
She had indeed noticed his convenient change of subject and was quite thankful for it. Though she didn't agree with his way of thinking, she couldn't hate him for it. He had suffered much and it had, too, changed the way he thought of many things. She hated to think of that, as well, but some thing just couldn't be ignored. "Thank you." She said, bowing her head once more. Chi turned her head to look upon her still brother-in-law, momentarily catching his lovely eyes. Even Chi had let a bit of evil into her heart long ago, now that she thought about it. She had become jealous that her sister could find such a handsome man. "How are you feeling?" She asked, wishing to change the subject once again, so that maybe she could think of something else for a while.
